Knox County’s 3.5% unemployment rate for July was six tenths of a percent lower than July of 2025. In Daviess County, the July rate was 3%, six-tenths of a percent lower than the same time last year. The average unemployment rate of Indiana’s 92 counties in July was 3.6%. The figures were released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
For other area counties:
Martin County’s jobless rate in July stood at 2.9%, three-tenths of a percent lower than July of 2025.
Sullivan County unemployment rate of 3.2% in July was eight tenths of a percent lower than the same time a year ago.
Gibson County’s jobless rate was also 3.2%, three tenths of a percent lower than the year before.
Pike County’s July unemployment rate was 3.5%, six tenths of a percent lower than the same time last year.
The area’s highest unemployment was in Greene County, with an unemployment rate of 3.7% last month—still a half percent lower than the year before.
