When you see the 2027 Indy 500, you will see cars fueled in large part by Indiana corn. Organizers of the IndyCar series will use a corn-based ethanol blend to power the high-speed machines throughout next year’s IndyCar series.
Dubois County farmer J..R. Reisner was a key part of the push to bring Indiana corn-based ethanol to the track. He believes the product will prove its worth in the proving tracks of IndyCar. Reisner knows the ethanol fueling factor will help bring the fuel to the attention of the average driver.
The agreement with the IndyCar officials is part of corn growers’ overall move to promote alternative corn use around the world.
