Indiana State Police seized 277 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $3.8 million Sunday during a commercial vehicle inspection on I-70 in Putnam County.
The driver, 32-year-old Harpreet Singh of Greenwood, told troopers he was hauling an empty trailer from Memphis to Indianapolis.
The trooper found Singh was operating below industry standards and impounded the vehicle, in which several duffle bags containing cocaine were found.
Singh is charged with Dealing in and Possession of a Narcotic Drug.
