Indiana’s First Advanced Nuclear Micro Modular Reactor at Naval Weapons Station Crane

The U.S. Department of War has announced the planned installation of Indiana’s first advanced nuclear Micro Modular Reactor at Naval      Weapons Station Crane no later than September 2028

This marks a major milestone in the state’s energy and defense infrastructure, as it will be the first power-producing reactor in Indiana.      The MMR is designed to provide reliable, around-the-clock power independent of the commercial electric grid, ensuring continuous operation of one of the nation’s premier defense technology and weapons development hubs
