The Knox County Council will start Day One of its budget hearings today at the Elihu Stout Building. The first couple of days will deal with various budget requests from the County’s department heads, followed by two days of actual budget setting for the 2027 calendar year.
Council president Mike Morris expects a more hectic budget week than unusual this year,
Morris also knows they have to keep their overall budget focus on the day to day scheme of things,
The sessions are open to the public.
