The Knox County Public Library is celebrating a grant they received called the “
Big Read” award. The funding surrounds the poetry book “American Sunrise.” The book is written by Native American writer Joy Harjo; she became the first Native American to be named as U-S poet laureate.
The grant was honored by Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum. The Mayor was at this week’s Library Board meeting for a proclamation honoring the “Big Read” gift given to the Knox County Public Library.
