Officials at the Isaiah 1:17 House are preparing for their annual “Socktober” fund-raiser. The month is one of the annual fund-raisng drives to encourage people to give to the house’s cause of helping displaced children in need.
Isaiah 1:17 House director Jacqueline Cunningham feels the month is an important time for everyone to understand how important socks are to those in need. Cunningham promises the funding goes right back to the kids who are displaced from their homes, due to legal proceedings.
The Isaiah 1:17 House is in its fourth year of helping kids from its location on Hart Street Road in Vincennes. At this time, around 40 people have signed up to volunteer their time at the location.
