Cooler weather is a good reminder for eligible households to sign up for the PACE Community Action Agency’s Energy Assistance Program. The annual assistance is a one-time credit to the heating source you use in your home.
PACE’s Courtney Welage says the program helps thousands across Knox, Daviess, Greene, and Sullivan counties. Welage reminds everyone the application acceptance times are flexible—and are in some ways affected by inclement weather.
The typical wait time between application and acceptance is just under two months. Because of that expected wait time, those eligible are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The funds are provided by an Indiana state program; PACE is the group responsible for program in its four-county area.
